InnoPran XL Extended Release Capsules

InnoPran XL Effects and Usage

InnoPran XL - Propranolol Hydrochloride

What kind of medication is InnoPran XL?

InnoPran XL is a brand name for extended release version of Propranolol hydrochloride. It is a non-selective beta blocker mainly used to treat hypertension, angina (chest pain), heart rhythm disorders, and other cardiovascular disorders. It works by blocking the action of nerves which stimulate the heart rate. It also lessens the force of heart contraction.

Due to the fact that InnoPran XL has a sedative action on the nervous system, it is sometimes administered as an anti-anxiety agent. Other uses for InnoPran XL include preventing of migraine headaches and the treatment of certain types of tremors.

The medication is also marketed under other trade names, including Inderal.

When distributed by Pliva Pharmaceuticals, generic Propranolol is available on the market as Pliva 467 10 mg, Pliva 468 20 mg, Pliva 469 40 mg, Pliva 470 60 mg and Pliva 471 80 mg pills.

Generic versions of Propranolol HCl are marketed by other manufacturers, too, including Mylan Pharmaceuticals. See Mylan's Propranolol.
